Called to Serve

Who am I? What is my mission?

My name is James Franke and I am a Catholic Lay Foreign Missionary. Twenty-one years old, having just graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville, I’ve been called to leave behind family and friends, sell what I own and follow the Lord in order to help build the Kingdom of God.  For at least the next two years I will be serving the poor, the sick, the hopeless, the lost of the world.  I will be living with the sons and daughters of God, with my brothers and sisters, sharing with them the Good News of the Gospel.  This blog is dedicated to sharing my mission with you. With sharing stories of the glory of God and the miracles that he is working in the world today.  Sharing with you the hope that is often hidden in the world today, the hope of Chrst.  My mission is not to serve the people by myself, but to give you the opportunity to join my mission, to give you the opportunity to love, to change the world.

“I tell you, fellow Christians, your love has a broken wing if it can not fly across the ocean”.  – Mai Babcock
